Created for the 20 second game jam

My first version included meta-progression which I had to cut to fit within the game jam restrictions after reading the FAQ section like half way into the game jam. This is also my first real coding project so it's a little rough. If enough people like the concept, I'll finish the initial version with meta-progress, most likely without the 20 second time limit :)

I really like the base ideas here, could make an amazing game down the line. Sprites are nice, well made!

For music you can jump into the BBS and grab something fromt the PICO-tunes any time for your games! Sound effects are also a nice would be thing!

The only “big” criticism is that you have to look up and down all the time to check your level against all the other numbers on the screen, would be nice to have the lvl above (below) the player as you have to navigate tricky already!

Would love to have the full game with meta progression, keep it up, post on socials so we can see the progress! Well done!

The concept is really funny! Good job!

I was lucky in the begining but then the game become very hard and it was hard to find even the 1st level mob to level up.

Good luck!

I got really lucky at first playing and a  decent streak, but that Lich King doesn't mess around. Fun game! Good luck on your jam!

Here's my first reaction to it:

Oh my god thank you so much! Its so surreal seeing someone play my game, you did well :)

i dig the concept and how you squeezed the genre into the confines of the 20” jam. definitely looking forward to your devloping this further but do stay within the 20” since it started there? meanwhile, i couldn’t do as well as rheia did here but i came close to becoming a hero once or twice.

✔ followed with the hope that you will continue this project. nice job and a great “first real coding project”. you’re well on your way :)

ok, i’ve since revisited and caught a streak of 2. suggestion is to add some more smaller numbers at the beginning to give some of what appears total randomness a nudge toward newb-friendly.

i get that we can remove a higher at the cost of a life but can still be a little frustrating.

First of all, thank you so much for the feedback and the follow, I’ll see how I can evolve the concept while still keeping the time limit:) I’m currently not at home but rebalancing is the first thing I’d like to do when I return so streaks are easier to keep up for longer :)

Really good!
It took me a while to get it, but it's fun!

I miss some sounds - but for your first coding project, it turned out amazing! Be proud of yourself!

Thanks for creating this!

Thank you so much! I wanted to add sound but have no experience with sfx and didn't want to ruin the experience with subpar music/effects. Definitely on my to-do list in terms of learning gamedev though:)
